Roger Hope (1956 - 1987)

Roger James Hope was born May 3, 1956 in Bakersfield, California, to Ivan Nephi and Marilyn Hope, and died Oct 25, 1987 in California.

My family lived next door to the Hope family in Bountiful, Utah, and Roger and I became very close friends. He was alot of fun growing up, and evern then he showed real talent for dance. I was envious, as I had two left feet, and no ability to "feel the beat" as Roger did. I had a great time living next to him. Many of my fondest memories of childhood involve Roger (and his younger brother Matt, who was good friends with my younger sister, Kelly).

Roger was one of the sweetest, funniest friends I knew growing up in that little Mormon community, and when I learned of his death many years ago, it left a hole in my heart. After finding your website, I must say it still hurts.
