On June 10, 2001, the Wasatch Chapter of Affirmation participated in the Salt Lake City Pride Day celebration. Chapter members, displaying the Affirmation banner, marched in the parade that left from Liberty Park and ended at the City and County Building.

Affirmation pitched a tent and hung a banner that read "Educating the Mormon Community – Affirming Our Whole Selves." The Affirmation booth attracted the attention of hundreds of people, and was a meeting place for many Affirmation members, friends, and relatives.

Thanks to Rick, Duane, John-Charles, Shawn, the Hardy Boys, Heather, Nisha, and all those who helped promote Wasatch Affirmation's presence at Gay Pride 2001. The activity was a resounding success.
