That's the question the audience asked filmmaker Maria Maggenti as she screened Puccini for Beginners at Park City's Sundance Festival. According to Salt Lake Tribune's Sean P. Means, in the post-show Q&A, Maggenti said the angel's appearance was a coincidence. "That was B-roll," she said. "We had to use whatever we shot." Always irreverent, The Salt Lake Tribune entitled its story, "Angel Moroni Does Not Advocate Lesbianism." |
