“Confessions of A Mormon Boy” to Open in Boston April 28
West Hollywood Run Extended until April 15

The hit solo play Confessions of A Mormon Boy, written and performed by Steven Fales and directed by Tony Award-winner Jack Hofsiss, will play in Los Angeles at the Coast Playhouse until April 15. On April 28 Confessions will open in Boston at Boston Theatre Works.

Steven Fales appeared on the cover of the Jan. 23 issue of IN Magazine. For the opneing gala in L.A., he posed with a few friends in “I Love Mormon Boys” Muscle T-shirts.

“Conservative Mormons thank me for not bashing the church [in my play],” Fales told IN Magazine. “Other gay Mormons and gay Mormon fathers just totally champion the story because it’s so similiar to theirs. It’s not just Mormons. People come up to me after the show and ask if I stole their journals, saying I told 90 percent of their story—and they’re Lutheran!”

Confessions of A Mormon Boy is Steven Fales’s compelling, humorous, and inspiring true story about how a young gay man went from being a model Mormon boy in Utah to a high-priced call boy in New York City. His captivating tale takes audiences through his excommunication from the Mormon church as he struggles to reclaim himself, his children, and his “Donny Osmond smile.”
