Mormon to Play Gay Man on “Desperate Housewives”

This fall, Kevin Rahm, a former Cougar will join the cast of ABC’s hit soap opera/ dramedy Desperate Housewives as one half of a same-sex couple — the first to be seen regularly so far in the series’ four-season run.

Best remembered for playing troubled former med student Kyle McCarty on CBS legal drama Judging Amy, Rahm has appeared in a number of TV shows including Joan of Arcadia, Grey’s Anatomy and Ally McBeal. He also played a gay character in the seventh season premiere episode of crime drama CSI.

Rahm, who is LDS, served as a missionary in France, Switzerland and the islands of Mauritius.

Rahm’s Desperate Housewives character will be named Lee. One Life to Live actor Tuc Watkins will play his partner. Although neither will be added as regular characters, their roles will be recurring.

Desperate Housewives’ fourth season will premiere Sunday, September 30 on ABC.
