Four More Weeks til Writing Awards Deadline Deadline Is September 2 July 2008 You have until September 2 to send entries to the Affirmation Writing Awards. Because of this year’s new format, we encourage you to consider right away taking the preliminary steps of getting a letter to the editor or editorial published in a newspaper or magazine. The recent decision by the First Presidency to oppose marriage equality in California is an example of a topic which is generating a lot of attention—especially in the Intermountain West and California. We encourage Affirmation members and friends to speak up for justice and equality in this and other issues affecting the GLBT community.
