KUER Show to Discuss MormonsAndGays.org December 10 at 11:00 AM MST December 2012 The December 10 show of KUER’s RadioWest will be dedicated to discussing the new LDS website MormonsAndGays.org. Hosted by award-winning reporter Doug Frabriszio, the show will run from 11 AM to 12 PM Mountain Standard Time. Affirmation President Joshua Behn and President Elect Randall Thacker called the new website “a step in the right direction on a path that we hope will continue to evolve in years to come.” Stories about the new site appeared in The Washington Post, CNN.com, Advocate.com, and many other media outlets. “The site may miss an opportunity in providing the explicit helps for Mormon parents of gay youth developed by public health researchers working in cooperation with Mormon lay leaders at San Francisco State University’s Family Acceptance project,” wrote Mormon blogger Joanna Brooks. “But with its explicit call for improved treatment of LGBT people within Mormon communities, the MormonsAndGays.com site opens new horizons of possibility.” Tune in 90.1 FM or listen live at www.kuer.org.
