The Conference Choir

Sunday Devotional to Include Musical Numbers

by Judy, Choir Director
4 June 2012

My Dear Brothers and Sisters of Affirmation,

Last year at our Annual Conference, we had a rare opportunity to hold our devotional in the Kirtland Temple, and to assemble a choir to sing there. It was a wonderful experience for all who participated in the choir and for those who attended!

For me, being your choir director and creating that music with you was the highlight of my year! You guys and girls were amazing! I felt so blessed by your beautiful spirits and your wonderful music!

The people in Kirtland who work at the Temple said that our choir was the best music they had had there all year, and that we sounded like a mini Mormon Tabernacle Choir! One gentleman said he liked us better than the MoTab! Pretty great reviews!

This year, we have another opportunity to assemble a choir and sing together at the devotional for our Annual Conference, this time held in the Pacific Northwest, in Seattle, Washington. Again, I have the exciting opportunity to be your choir director and to make music with all of you! I know it will again be a wonderful experience!

So, if you like to sing or play an instrument, please contact me at judy (at) affirmation.org, and if you know which part you sing (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass), let me know. If you play an instrument, let me know what that is, and I'll see if we can use it in the choir arrangements or for a special musical number.

Also, if you have friends or family members who would like to sing/play in the choir, please feel free to invite them to participate and to contact me as well. The more the merrier!!!

See you all in Seattle!

Love and blessings to you all,

Judy
