Affirmation Suicide Candlelight Vigils

No More Deaths! No More Silence!

Entitled "No More Deaths! No More Silence!", the event focuses on the harmful effects on sexual minorities when powerful forces within a culture send damaging messages by their actions and their written and verbal communications. The vigils highlight the value of love and education to overcome the resulting problems and strengthen the families affected.

Hosted or co-sponsored by Affirmation, the suicide vigils are open to all families of every faith.

The American Association of Suicidology has chosen the week of September 4-10, 2005 as National Suicide Prevention Week.
